You must have an inside source. :) The Yahoo story was about fans that wanted to keep many of the stores open. That really speaks highly for Starbucks (great company). As to being busy with work, I understand. Summer is a slow time in the trade show booths business (spring and fall are traditionally trade show season), so I have time to surf the net and read blogs. I'm also good at procrastination and putting off work stuff that I should be doing. Anyway, work or no work, I will continue to be a diligent reader! Now I can sleep again at night... no Starbucks in Santa Barbara, California will be closing. I'm kind of surprised actually because we have a dozen or so it seems, and two are literally "across the street" from each other (shopping malls on either side of a main street). I like Starbucks - they do a good job at a cup of coffee, and the people that work at them always seem happy. I feel for those employees who will be let go.
