Hi JJ, I said in my comment above that I hadn't seen this story anywhere else, and then the next day I saw it on the front page of Yahoo. You must have an inside source. :) The Yahoo story was about fans that wanted to keep many of the stores open. That really speaks highly for Starbucks (great company). As to being busy with work, I understand. Summer is a slow time in the trade show booths business (spring and fall are traditionally trade show season), so I have time to surf the net and read blogs. I'm also good at procrastination and putting off work stuff that I should be doing. Anyway, work or no work, I will continue to be a diligent reader! And now, it's time to get back to work... ~ Steve

Yeah I was relieved.

Yeah I need to get back into the groove of blogging. I just have been really busy with work crap that it hasn't allowed me the time.

Thanks for being a diligent reader though.

hi JJ, I'm glad I saw this post here because I haven't seen the list anywhere else. Now I can sleep again at night... no Starbucks in Santa Barbara, California will be closing. I'm kind of surprised actually because we have a dozen or so it seems, and two are literally "across the street" from each other (shopping malls on either side of a main street). I like Starbucks - they do a good job at a cup of coffee, and the people that work at them always seem happy. I feel for those employees who will be let go. I don't know if Starbucks is a career, but I hear it's a good place to work. ~ Steve from Pinnacle Trade Show Booths
PS. I haven't seen any new "Financial Friday" segments? Any in the works?
